Description

BioTech Arthro Guard is an advanced stack of ingredients promoting health and functionality of the musculoskeletal system. It contains as many as 17 active substances universally promoting the health of bones and joints.

The problems with joints are the most common ailments of physically active people. Numerous training burdens cause that even the smallest joint dysfunctions may lead to serious injuries. Insufficient pace of recovery processes also leads to persistent, chronic symptoms of the musculoskeletal system. Therefore, physically active people are especially recommended supplementation focused on the health of joints, both in order to prevent potential injuries and to support regeneration of tissues. In the composition of the formula there are the most active substances in this field:

Calcium – a key building mineral, commonly known for its influence on endurance of the skeletal system. Its proper supply enables efficient bone mineralization, and therefore resistance of bones to mechanical stress. This element has influence on the musculoskeletal system also through the muscle system. Calcium ions are an essential element of the molecular mechanism of muscle contraction, therefore their presence conditions efficient and functional movement, as a result of the work of skeletal muscles.

Manganese – similarly to calcium, is an incredibly important mineral for the development of bones. It positively influences the growth of bone tissue and its deficiencies are one of the causes of accelerated development of osteoporosis. Moreover, it also demonstrates influence on connective tissue, increasing its functionality. Manganese complements its effectiveness on the musculoskeletal system by its influence on the nervous system, conducive to proper movement coordination.

MSM (methylsulphonylmethane) – the compound, commonly known as “organic sulfur”, deservedly popular as a substance supporting heath of the skeletal system. It demonstrates multidimensional activity on joint functions. First of all, it takes part in the synthesis of collagen, an incredibly important compound responsible for elasticity and endurance of soft tissues, which form human joints. Secondly, organic sulfur demonstrates considerable influence on cell membrane liquidity. It increases its functionality, being conducive to tissue nourishment and by the same token – their proper functioning. In the area of cells which form joint tissues, it is conducive to their regeneration. Thirdly, MSM demonstrates anti-inflammatory effect in joints, thanks to which it is able to reduce pain symptoms, generated by inflammation.

Glucosamine sulfate – the compound popular as a substance supporting regeneration of the cartilage. It takes part in the synthesis of proteoglycans, which constitute a scaffolding of cartilaginous tissue. Increased supply of glucosamine is related to the ability to intensify anabolic processes in the cartilage, counteracting degenerative lesions. It is recommended both to people who are in the risk group of degenerative joint disease, as well as for people who are prone to numerous burdens of the musculoskeletal system, i.e. mainly for sportsmen. Importantly, the positive influence on the processes taking place in the cartilaginous tissue is also reflected in limiting the development of inflammations.

Chondroitin sulfate – a substance which complements the effectiveness of glucosamine, thanks to which it is often recommended along with it as a synergistic combination, influencing health of cartilaginous tissue. As the member of the group of glycosaminoglycans it is the component of proteoglycans, which form cartilaginous tissue. Therefore, supplementation with chondroitin is recommended as an effective method which promotes the growth of cartilaginous tissue. Intensification of anabolic processes around cartilage not only demonstrates therapeutic properties, but also positively influences joint functionality – its efficiency conditions proper biochemical work of the musculoskeletal system.

L-Phenylalanine – an exogenous amino acid used in supplementation due to its analgesic properties. Although the mechanism of its activity in the organism has not been entirely discovered, the effectiveness of phenylalanine in the therapy of arthritic symptoms is indicated.

Collagen – is a protein, which ensures endurance and elasticity of the elements of the connective tissue. Although when applied orally, it is not directly transported to joints, supplementation with collagen is a perfect way to introduce amino acids, characteristic to this protein, to the organism. Their increased supply intensifies endogenous synthesis of collagen. It positively influences mechanical resistance and joint functionality, as collagen constitutes an elastic skeleton of soft tissues and cartilages, conditioning proper work of the musculoskeletal system.

L-histidine – an amino acid from the group of relatively exogenous amino acids, which means that it is synthesized by the human organism, but in insufficient amounts, therefore it also needs to be provided with food. It plays an important function in the functioning of the cardiovascular system, as it is the component of hemoglobin. Due to the joint functions, the presence of histidine is important on the pathways of histamine synthesis. It is a mediator of inflammation, regulates its course, due to which it limits function disorders of the musculoskeletal system, related to the inflammatory changes in soft tissues.

Bromelain – a proteolytic enzyme, naturally occurring in pineapple fruits, also active in the human organism, due to which it is used as support in digestive disorders related to protein breakdown dysfunctions. Apart from this, it is an inhibitor of prostaglandins (by the influence on induced cyclooxygenase metabolism COX-2) stimulating the development of inflammation. Special activity of bromelain on limiting joint inflammation, including rheumatoid arthritis is indicated.

Harpagosides – obtained from Harpagophytum procumbens, also called the devil’s claw. In phytotherapy they are active ingredients used in various therapies of musculoskeletal system disorders. They demonstrate anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-rheumatic effects. Similarly to bromelain, they inhibit the synthesis of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins by the influence on cyclooxygenases 1 and 2.

Curcumin – the compound naturally occurring in turmeric, demonstrating considerable analgesic ability. Research proves its effectiveness even in relation to post-surgery pain reduction. It also demonstrates the activity which limits the development of inflammation, it is an inhibitor of cytokine TFN-α. Curcumin is also able to limit the activation of macrophages, which take part in the development of inflammation. It demonstrates special activity towards the ailments of joints, it is indicated as an effective form of support of the therapy of arthritic lesions.

Procyanidins – are obtained from large cranberry and are the compounds from the group of polyphenols with considerable antioxidant activity. As for the functions of the musculoskeletal system, their role is important as an inhibitor of enzymes breaking down two incredibly important compounds: collagen and hyaluronic acid. The former is an element which ensures mechanical endurance and elasticity of cartilages and soft tissues, while the latter constitutes a skeleton for settling of proteoglycans in the cartilage, thanks to which it increases its resistance to burden.

Polysaccharides – obtained from lucerne, demonstrate anti-inflammatory effectiveness. They limit the expression of mRNA pro-inflammatory cytokines, which is indicated as the main mechanism responsible for their activity towards inflammations. In this way, they complement the activity of the supplement when it comes to joint inflammations.

Boswellic acid – the active compound responsible for biological activity of Boswellia serrata. It is an inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase, an enzyme stimulating the production of leukotrienes, eicosanoids taking part in inflammatory reactions. In this way, boswellic acid may be effective in reducing inflammations in the tissues which build joints. Apart from this, analgesic effectiveness of boswellic acid is indicated. Research also suggests the activity of Boswellia serrata in the therapy of gonarthrosis (knee joint degradation). The extract from this plant demonstrates not only analgesic effect, but also positively influences the functionality of disease-affected joints.

Ginsenosides – steroid saponins present in Indian ginseng, demonstrating considerable influence on the immune system. They limit the ability of lipopolysaccharides (LPS) to bind with TLR4 receptors, thanks to which they limit the development of inflammations in the organism. They are also conducive to binding hemoglobin with oxygen, increasing the efficiency of work of the cardiovascular system. It is conducive to tissue nourishment, including also those which form musculoskeletal system.

Bioflavonoids – obtained from bitter orange, are a strong antioxidant. The reduction of the amount of free radicals in the organism is especially important among physically active people, as hard training sessions constitute a stimulus for the development of oxidative stress. Adequately high supply of these antioxidants is conducive to the proper course of recovery processes in the organism.

Gingerols – obtained from ginger, demonstrate inflammatory effect. They limit the synthesis of Interleukin 2, taking part in the development of the inflammatory reaction. Apart from this, they may demonstrate analgesic effect. Their effectiveness in the therapy of joint disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis or degenerative lesions is indicated.

To sum up, BioTech Arthro Guard is an advanced complex supporting the functionality of the musculoskeletal system. It intensifies recovery processes in the tissues forming joints, positively influences their mechanical endurance and functionality and it also limits the development of inflammations, constituting a universal product promoting the health of the osteoarticular system. It may be both an effective form of prophylaxis of joint health for sportsmen and support of therapies of disorders (after consulting a referring doctor).
